Chapter 4 Reading Questions

Due Thursday, Sept. 11, at the first of class.

Bring your HANDWRITTEN answers to the following questions. Your answers should typically be 1 sentence in length. You do not need to write the questions. Write your answers as full sentences so that you may review these notes later in preparation for the quizzes.

  1. In css code, list your 3 favorite font-families from the options Collison gives you — including those he presents under "interesting alternatives."
  2. Why is it so important to list a font FAMILY, and why must you worry about web-safe fonts?
  3. Why does it matter whether a person is using a Mac or a PC?
  4. Why is it so important to use line-height declarations?
  5. List five of your favorite things Collison mentions that you can do with fonts and typography in CSS — WITH an example in CSS code.
