Exam 2 Prep Files

Here are your files for preparing for Exam 2 — which will be this Tuesday, March 10:

Download the Zipped folder of EXAM2 PRACTICE FILES.
NOTE: Inside you will find two folders, one marked BEGINNING, for your practice, and one marked, COMPLETE, for you to consult as you review and prepare.

Essential accomplishments for the exam:

1. Wrap the container with the top, middle, and bottom background images, including adjusting the header and footer height so that the images fit appropriately.
2. Replace the logo text with the logo background image, using the Gilder/Levin image replacement method. (As practiced in class and found in Budd page 65.)
3. Make the logo background image show the second state on hover, using the pixy-style rollover. (As practiced in class and found in Budd page 79.)
4. Replace the heading text in the site content with background images. (Again, use the Gilder/Levin image replacement method, as we practiced in class.)

For extra credit:

1. Un-comment the nav markup in the index.html, and then style the nav so that it runs horizontally as a nav bar.
2. Add line-height, padding and hover-effects to the nav bar, so that the nav items work like buttons.

Notes:

All of these things have been accomplished in the folder marked COMPLETE. You may consult these to double-check your work.

On the exam, you will be given something very much like the folder marked BEGINNING, and will be expected to complete the steps within the class period, without assistance. You will be given points for your code — the more code you get correct, the better!
