Photo File Naming Codes
Photo Naming Rules
- USE OKWU INSTEAD OF OWU
- Do not include initials of photographer in photo name.
- Photographer’s name should be included in the photo description. e.g. Photo by Hannah Hopkins
- Photos should be named according to the specific event at which they were taken.
- Always rename EVERY PHOTO uploaded. NO DSC_001 etc. This can be done easily in Bridge.
- For Student Life Events:
Naming rules:
Set Name: “Event Name” “year”
e.g. New Student Orientation 2009
Photo Name: NSO_01, NSO_02
- For Athletic Events:
Naming rules:
Set Name: “Men’s Soccer” (or Women’s)/ “opponent” (date)
e.g. Mens Soccer vs Tabor (9/12/09)
Photo Name: MenvsTabor_01, MenvsTabor_02

OWU=OWU
CODE=Event code from below
DC=Photographer’sInitials
2009-08=Year and month the photo was TAKEN
001=sequential number
.jpg=JPEG formatted file
